Here we can visit various craftsmen who still carry on the tradition of carving gates, and we admire other wooden houses with their gates, true keepers of the identity of Maramureș.

Iza Valley & Resurrection Service

Reunion with your guide in the morning. Go on a beautiful hike through the villages on the Izei Valley, after a 1-hour transfer by car. The starting point will be the wooden church from Ieud - UNESCO monument, the oldest wooden church from Maramureș, which you will also visit. From there, they started at a slow pace towards the neighboring village, Botiza. We will also visit a lady from the village who continues the tradition of weaving for a short demonstration and a coffee break.
It is a perfect opportunity to observe people dressed in folk costumes preparing for the Lord's Resurrection.
